SHORT GAME - Chipping

Ever found yourself having a static chip shot (a duff, striking the ground behind the ball - the ball only moving a few inches)?

Here is a very simple remedy to this problem!

Use a hybrid club or even a fairway wood!

The hybrid club or fairway wood provides more forward momentum than a putter, and is less risky than an iron that may dig into the turf.

Grip down the shaft for more feel. I am demonstrating it using my putting grip.

A smooth flowing putting type action will ensure a clean strike on the ball and allow you to control your distance.

Give it a try with your various lofted hybrids or fairway woods - you?ll be amazed at how straight forward and simple this shot can be!
